A fun, low-alcohol cocktail recipe for lighter drinking during Halloween.
One of the biggest misconceptions about non-alcoholic products is that they're just for people that are sober or don't drink. The reality is that they are fantastic ingredients to use in your favorite cocktail recipes to cut back the overall alcohol content (ABV), to help you pace yourself throughout the evening, and be more mindful about your overall alcohol consumption. In this spin on a French 77, I'm using my favorite non-alcoholic gin, St-Germain liqueur, and a lovely non-alcoholic sparkling wine from Prima Pave.
I used a beautiful green champagne flute from one of my favorite female-founded companies, Estelle Colored Glass. One glass of this spritz contains 3.3% ABV*. You could make this drink entirely alcohol-free by replacing the St-Germain with Elderflower syrup.
Ingredients:
1 oz St-Germain Liqueur
1 oz non-alcoholic gin (I recommend Bare Zero Proof Gin)
.5 oz lime juice
3.5 oz chilled non-alcoholic bubbles (I used Prima Pave)
Garnish with mint leaves for a Frankenstein look! I also used candy eyes and a little honey to stick them to the outside of my glass.
Steps
Add the liqueur, n/a gin and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake to chill.
Strain into a champagne flute.
Top with n/a bubbles and garnish. Cheers!
Total ABV: 3.3% per 6oz serving.*
*ABV calculations are based on exact recipe ingredients included. Any modifications may alter the ABV content.
